Details
Pincushion Hakea is a plant of Southwest Australia that is widely cultivated and admired. Flowers are initially pale or cream, perhaps hidden by the leaves in the early stages, and are contained by scale-like bracts before opening. Adaptable to a number of soil types, the plant is also frost tolerant. The leaves are simple and blue-green, they are flat, glabrous, with an entire margin, obovate or lanceolate, ending in a sharp point. The leaves vary in size on the same plant, they can range from 6 to 29 mm wide and reach 180 mm in length.
