Lilium Martagon Mauve
Ceci est le Lis martagon mauve, l'un des Lis parmis les plus populaires. Cette vivace est aussi appelée Lis du Cape Turque. Elle est originaire de l'Europe et peut atteindre de 2-3 pieds de haut.
La plante fleurie tard au Printemps jusqu'au milieu de l'Été. Les fleurs sont mauves, pendantes, et parfois jusqu'à 20 sur une tige. Les fleurs atteignent 2" de diamètre. Les fleurs sont hermaphrodites, elles ont chacunes les organes mâles et femelles. Le feuillage, d'un vert moyen, meurt en Hiver. Les minces feuilles peuvent atteindre 6" de long.
Zones de rusticité 3-7, (-37°C/-35°F, -15°C/5°F) en Hiver. Procurez un sol riche, bien drainé, avec un pH acide à neutre. Arrosez régulièrement; ne pas trop arroser à chaque fois et ne laissez pas le sol s'assécher complètement. Le plant croît très bien partiellement à l'ombre.

| Germination | Germination is hypogeal; seed sprouts as a bulb at warm temperatures, requiring a period of cold afterwards to send up its first true leaf. Lily bulbs never go fully dormant, so they must be treated carefully. Plant seeds about 1/4 inch deep and keep moist. A plastic sandwich bag placed loosely over each pot will keep moisture in and cut down maintenance for a few weeks. Place in warm temperature, 70-75øF for 9-12 weeks. Then place in cold temperatures, in the refrigerator, -4øC to 4øC for 3 months and back to warm; it will send up its first true leaf in 1-2 weeks. Lily seeds are not difficult to germinate indoors and to grow under lights. The most important requirement for the planting mix is drainage while retaining moisture. Use a combination of sand, soil, vermiculite, perlite and whatever organic matter is at hand to produce a light, airy mix which retains moisture but allows good drainage. |
