Michelia Doltsopa est un arbre à feuilles persistantes originaire de la région himalayenne Est et des forêts subtropicales Meghalaya en Inde.
L'arbre pousse jusqu'à 6-9 m de haut. Michelia Doltsopa produit des fleurs blanches odorantes de 7 à 10 cm qui sont visibles au printemps.
Michelia Doltsopa est un parent du Magnolia. Il préfère un sol humide, fertile, bien drainé et légèrement acide. L'arbre tolère la mi-ombre, mais préfère les endroits chauds et ensoleillés.
