This fast-growing vine can reach up to 6 meters in length and is ideal for covering trellises, arbors, or fences. The flowers are large, with a unique pipe-like shape, usually deep purple or maroon, and often feature intricate white markings. The foliage is heart-shaped and dense, creating an attractive green backdrop to the flowers.
Aristolochia elegans prefers well-drained, fertile soils and thrives in full sun to partial shade. It requires regular watering, particularly during hot, dry periods, but should not be overwatered. It is tolerant of a range of soil types and can adapt to many garden conditions.
