Zehneria pallidinervia, also known as Bat Wing Vine or Melothria pallidinervia is a deciduous climber native to Mozambique, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. The caudex can grow up to 15 cm and the vines up to 2 m. Zehneria pallidinervia has succulent, bat-like, leathery leaves. The shiny leaves are dark green with pale green veins. They are 26–60 mm long and 27–76 mm. broad. The white flowers will bloom in July and August and become creamy with age. The fruits are bright red. Hardiness zone: 10-11
