Melaleuca alternifolia
Melaleuca alternifolia is endemic to Australia and is a small tree to about 7 m (20 ft) with a bushy crown and whitish, papery bark.
The leaves of various Melaleuca were traditionally used by Australian aborigines against colds, fever and congestions. They crushed the leaves to inhale the essence or infused them to drink the herbal tea.
